Engineered Plans for Framing Takeoffs
To do a framing takeoff, we need to work with the same version of the plans that you submit for permits. We need to see all of the engineer’s spec’s and options.
Please note that we do not ever change any engineering spec’s, and that the sealed plans govern completely if there is any discrepancy between what we include in our takeoff and what is drawn.Non-Engineered Plans – Preliminary Information
We understand that there are situations where you may need to “ballpark” a bid and fully engineered plans are not available.
In some cases we can help, but we need to see the plans first. If there is enough information for us to suggest materials and quantities for preliminary budgeting, we will…but with the disclaimer “not engineered – absolutely not for shipment or construction”.OnScreen Square and Linear Footages
Engineered plans are not necessary for this work. All we need are accurate floorplans and elevations to produce these drawings. For roofing calculations we need a roof plan, the view from above the house looking straight down.
